White Orchid Hotel
White Orchid Hotel
409-421 Yawaraj Road, Bangkok, Thailand

White Orchid hotel offers tourist class accommodation for international tourist and the budget-minded traveller, where hospitality is an art. If exploring Bangkok and scenic locations were important to your visit, the newly renovated White Orchid Hotel on Yawaraj Road in the heart of China Town, is the perfect choice.

Located on Yawaraj Road in the heart of China Town only 10 mins from the railway station, within walking distance to a good shopping areas and approximately 45 mins from the Airport.

Prices range from S$32 (standard with no window) to S$179 for a suite room on the VIP floor.  Breakfast is included in the prices.  You can get these rates from AsiaRooms.com.

Personal Note:

I’ve always stayed in this budget hotel whenever I go to Bangkok.  Not because of its “fantastic” rooms but I love its location and the price of course.  You don’t have to travel far to sample great local food; just simply walk downstairs and you’ll be swamped with restaurants (in the day) and both restaurants and street stalls which magically appear come sundown.

Stay in the standard with no window room if you don’t get claustrophobic and don’t think the VIP floor is a great idea just because it’s VIP.  The lifts do not go up to the VIP floor which is on the 14th floor and imagine having to climb a flight of steps to your VIP room.  Stay at this hotel only if you can put up with the cockroaches who will be your welcoming committee and the never-changing breakfast that you have in the dining room on the 2nd level (which doubles up as a lounge at night).
